blah
I've not been blogging as I simply have nothing to say.
Work seems to consume more than the office hours required. I worked the graveyard on Bank Holiday Monday and as a result missed out on knitting, London Tuesdays and well, Tuesday itself.
And because I harbour a secret desire to be dooced, I need to share something I read at work:
...the increasing threat of terrorism and incidence of major accidents and natural disasters represents an opportunity for Company X
Seriously.
Speaking of being Dooced, I've been an avid reader of Petite Anglais for some time now and was shocked to hear of her fate. Preparing to go to Paris a few weeks ago, I thought I must take her out for a few drinks and comiserate. When the realisation struck that I don't actually know her.
Isn't the blogosphere odd?

I'm hoping to be back on Tuesdays after next week. My, it's been a long summer holiday. Hope to see you soon.

Can you be dooced by someone else? Would you like me to drop hints to your boss/supervisor that you've been waay more naughty than you really are?
Maybe that way I could have you working alongside me again. I miss you! My new deskmates just aren't as much fun - and they don't get snarkywood!

I emailed a friend one day to ask why she hadn't told me she'd started a blog. Her response was that she didn't understand how I knew she'd started one (it's a sort of personal blog as it were, if there is such a thing...) Well, the answer was quite simple, in that she had put a link from her blog to my blog, and that hits from her blog were showing up in my hit counter, so naturally I went to investigate. As she's somebody I've know since the age of 8, her attempt to "anonymise" things by using initials instead of names did nothing for me.

Wasn't she on R & Judy the other week being interviewed about that with Dave Gorman?

You're not allowed to get dooced until we've paid for the trip to Australia.
