We braved the wilds of the Social Security office today — one of the most depressing government offices I've ever visited. I say "one of" in anticipation of the DMV.

Fred lodged his application form but it won't be processed until his visa has been verified, 10 days after we arrive(d).

Mine is a different matter. Although I am on an E3D visa, the ability to work is not straightforward. Something about Dept of Labor blah blah.

On the way home, walked through Macy's & saw a fantastic xmas light display (photos to come).

We had read a review of Barbuzzo & are keen to try it out, so reservation for dinner is at 9pm tonight. [Remind me to discuss booking restaurants in this town, will you?]

At the Wednesday Night Knitting (WNK) party on 1 December, Helen, Ting and I committed to posting every week day (or 5x/week). Obviously that hasn't happened... for any of us. At least the girls have tried. Hels tactfully reminded me last night (final WNK!) that I was dragging my feet

Other WNKers with blogs are Lotta and Gail, both of whom are more diligent and blogging, Lucy who is in the lazy camp with us.

Mel and Emma resist the peer pressure to start blogging. Altho the latter might be persuaded.
