London Tuesdays

Some of the ladies from Foyles went on an excursion to South Kensington. First stop, a preview of the costume and textile auction at Christie's, and then on to the V&A.

Look through the catalogue - it was like visiting a museum. And what shocked us most was that we were allowed to touch, photograph and even try on the items (as none of us have a 22" waist, there was none of the latter).

This patchwork dates from the Crimean war, and made of fabric from the soldiers uniforms.

Thanks to Jen, pictured above, for organising our day trip.

So much more to report, but after a couple of bevvies with Hels, I think it might be best if I turn in. More to report tomorrow.
