finish-along

I've had this idea for ages - instead of having knit-alongs, finish alongs! Everyone has items lying around, finished but for the finishing. My theory is that you swap & finish one another's, assuming that you'll do a decent job knowing that it's for someone else.
Needless to say, I didn't have any takers. Then Cara volunteered (I think she felt sorry for me and my idea):
Her project was a baby jumper that needed sewing up. I swapped it for Fred's damn cardi that needs the zipper sewn in. Hey, she has a (working) sewing machine* AND did a mighty fine job. All the cardi needs now is a collar (once I work out what to do with that ridiculous neck f*ck up).
And I liked her project so much that I'm knitting one too! A hoodie for the ASBO baby. Mr & Mrs B perhaps?

It's a brilliant idea. Except for the fact that I don't knit. I have three quilts that I aspire to finish by the end of the year. May I play too?
